Yes, the Vila is located within the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, ​​perfectly connected on foot with the services and collegues or, if you prefer, with the different internal and free bus lines.

The reception is open 24 hours from Monday to Friday. However, customer service hours for administrative procedures are from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. On weekends and holidays, you can find the Security team 24 hours a day.

The security team is 24 hours a day from Monday to Sunday.

Our offices are closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. You can sign the contract and collect the key from Monday to Friday 24 hours a day. Exceptionally, the first weekend of September the offices will be open during reduced hours.

No, all the apartments have a kitchen equipped with a ceramic hob and microwave.

Although, in the Vila there are two bar-restaurants where you can make various meals. The price varies according to the establishment. In this case, you would have to contact them directly.

You must provide us with a Spanish account number to domicile the received or a bank account in a country in the SEPA zone. The rent receipt is issued at the beginning of the month. From the second accumulated unpaid receipt, we apply a fee of €30, in addition to the bank charges incurred per returned receipt.

Once your reservation is confirmed, if you cancel it for an academic reason, we will return the deposit; but if it is for personal or convenience reasons, you will not be entitled to a refund.

Yes, you can pay the deposits by bank transfer. You must indicate your name and application number in the concept.

DURING THE STAY

You must go to the offices to sign your contract and get the key to your apartment. Once in the apartment, you will have to review its condition and write down in a document that we will have provided you with the damage you find. More information on this video.

The maintenance team will perform an entry check on the apartment. If there are urgent damages on the day of your arrival, you can report them at reception.

You must do a report for the maintenance team to fix the problem. You can do reports at reception, through the APP (VILApp) or through the website. Reports can NOT be made over the phone.

Do not worry, nothing happens. We make a new copy for you at reception, but it has a cost. The price is 3.24€.

Yes, as long as there is availability. You just have to contact us to request the change and we will inform you if it is possible and the apartments available at that time.

If you live in a shared apartment, you can receive visits for a maximum duration of 2 or 3 nights, always reaching agreements with your colleagues. If you live in a studio individually, you have more freedom.

Once you sign the contract, you will receive it by email. If you need the contract on paper, at reception we can print just one copy for you. Keep in mind that for official procedures you will need the contract to be stamped by Vila.

You must notify the offices as soon as possible, but at least 30 days before departure and always before the 1st or 15th of each month. If you cancel for an academic reason, you will recover the deposits as long as you send us a receipt. If it is for a personal reason, you will lose them.

The Campus has a health care service that is located 500 meters from the farthest building in Vila Universitaria (before reaching the College of Medicine). If it is closed and during the night, we recommend calling 061 directly.

SERVICES AND FACILITIES

La Vila has a soccer field with artificial turf, a beach volleyball field, a swimming pool (open from May to September), ping pong tables, a basketball court and a kanesthesia area. Sports facilities are for the exclusive use of residents.

 

Yes, Vila Universitaria has 3 study rooms. In addition, in Vila 2 there is another study room exclusively for students residing in Vila 2. In Vila there is also a multipurpose room with table football and billiards.

In Vila Universitària there are two bar-restaurants. Prices vary depending on the food and the place.

The Cau opens from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. and the Frankfurt from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Yes, in Vila there is a supermarket. In Bellaterra, 10 minutes walking, there is another supermarket called CONDIS.

From 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

It works with coins. Prices start at €3.50 depending on the kg you put in the washing machine. These prices already include detergent and fabric softener. You can also bring your own soap and it costs €4 per washing machine. The dryer service ranges between €2 and €3, also depending on the kilos of clothes you put to wash.

The laundry is open from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

It is a shop where you can find various things: stationery and office supplies, gifts, kitchen utensils, sweets.

The hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

There are several bank offices nearby. There you can open a bank account if you need it.

  • CaixaBank in the UAB Rectorate building.
  • Banco Santander in the Plaza Cívica.
  • Banco Sabadell in Plaza del Pi in Bellaterra, just in front of the Bellaterra FGC station.

 

Railways of the Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC): Line Barcelona/Sabadell (S2) and Barcelona/UAB (S6), Bellaterra station.

The journey time from Barcelona is thirty minutes. There are trains approximately every ten minutes. You can check the timetables on the FGC website.

You can book a taxi from the Vila’s reception or call Radiotaxi Cerdanyola (93 580 27 27). Taxi drivers normally pick up at the pedestrian crossing between the Vila 2 building and the Vila reception.

Yes there is no problem. Security works 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and makes rounds of control continuously.

You just have to show the key to the apartment if they ask for it. The pool is open approximately from May or June to September, both included. To confirm it, find out timetables and other related information, consult the publication that will be made on the Vila’s social networks when summer approaches.

First of all, you have to check that the differential, that is, the switch that you will find in the electrical panel, next to the entrance door of the apartment, is connected. The differential corresponding to the accumulator is usually marked with a letter C or a badge. When you want to start the charging process, you have to raise the differential, the same one that has to be lowered during the periods in which you want to dispense with heating. However, remember to NEVER turn off the main switch.

On the other hand, you will also see a clock that is used to regulate the charging hours of the accumulator. You have to take into account that the maintenance staff has programmed it and, therefore, you do not have to manipulate it. In addition, the accumulator itself has a turning button that allows you to regulate the amount of energy that the device releases.

 

Yes, it is suitable for human consumption.

If you want to receive correspondence you have to ask for the key to your mailbox at reception. If you make purchases online, you have to manage the shipments with the courier company yourself and be on the floor at the time of delivery. In the offices we will not receive in any case the packages of the residents.
