Preventive measures on campus for African Swine Fever

Following the guidelines from the Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, and Food, we share the measures to be applied on campus to prevent risks associated with ASF (African Swine Fever):

1. ❌ Access to natural areas for leisure activities is prohibited. If there are alternative paths to natural areas, it is advisable to close them and indicate that the closure is due to ASF.

2. ⚠️ Apply all measures for the containment zone, including:

   • Enhanced review and management of trash bins.

   • Prevent easy access to food scraps.

   • Limit or close picnic areas: restrict access to outdoor areas with tables and chairs and mark them clearly.

   • Avoid people sitting or walking in green areas with a regular presence of wild boars.
