As you have seen a thousand times on TV, here you have the prevention measures of COVID-19:
- The most important one, stay home. Go out only if it is strictly necessary: to buy essential products, to go to the doctor or to throw away the garbage.
- If you leave the house, use a mask and gloves. If you don’t have a mask, cover yourself with whatever you have. When you come back, make sure you put your clothes in the laundry basket and take a shower.
- When doing the laundry, better use the hot water mode.
- Wash your hands often.
- Take respiratory hygiene measures: if you sneeze or cough, always cover your mouth and nose with a bent elbow or tissue. Avoid touching your nose, eyes and mouth.
- Keep a social distance, if you have to go out, remember to leave at least one meter of distance between you and other people.
- If you have roommates, do not share towels, kitchen cloths, sheets, glasses, plates, cutlery or other personal items.
- Clean surfaces daily, especially those that are touched often.
- Stay informed and follow the recommendations of health professionals.
- Beware of rumors: There are many WhatsApp chains with false information. Don’t believe anything that doesn’t come from a reliable source or someone you trust and don’t share it.
- If you have symptoms (fever, cough and shortness of breath), it’s best to stay in a room by yourself and, if possible, with a bathroom for individual use.
- Keep a safe distance of 2 meters from other roommates.
- It is important to always have a mobile phone with you, to use it in case of need and to communicate with your family.
- If you feel short of breath, or if you feel worse, call 112.
- Use paracetamol to control your fever, take showers with water that is not too hot, drink water, rest but do not forget to move a bit.
- If your fever does not go down over the days or you still have difficulty breathing, call 112.
- It is recommended that you be kept in isolation for 14 days from the onset of symptoms, provided that you are already well.
