Vila Universitaria is a very large community. With over 2,000 places we are the largest university residence in the entire Spanish state. We are so big, that we are even more than many municipalities, only in Catalonia there are more than 600 towns with less inhabitants than we.
That is why it is of great importance that we understand the impact on the environment of the actions we carry out here.
To encourage a responsible consumption of energy, once again, we return to the energy saving contest, a classic within the competitions of Vila.
How to participate?
It is very simple, you just have to come to reception, write a private message to your delegate or delegate block, or send an email to comunicacio@vilauniversitaria.com saying that you want to join the contest.
Once the registration period is closed on January 30th, on January 31st and February 1st the maintenance personnel will control the counters of the registered apartments, recording the values that appear in them. We will kick off the contest on the same day February 1st.
What do you do to win?
You have to be the apartment that less water and light consumes in the three months that the contest lasts. As you do, it’s up to you!
Once the period is over, the maintenance staff will return to controlling the meters, and those flats that have consumed less will be the ones who win.
We will make categories according to the typologies of the floors (module, double, triple, four and five people apartments), and there will be a winner for each one.
Which is the prize?
The five winning floors will not have to pay on the bill for the months of May and June the consumption of water and electricity.
