From now to the end of the year we will change the sofas of the Vila 1 apartments, we’ll finish the last phase of reforms in modules and start with big buildings
At Vila Universitaria we have a clear philosophy of constantly investing in our facilities. It is clear that with the dimension we have, there are some things that involve a very important effort at the investment level, but that do not always look the way we would like them to be. However we want you to be clear every year we work to improve your house.
Works done
Since 2007 we have carried out internal modernizations, such as the change of furniture and reform of the bathrooms in blocks A to K and modules L-M-X-Y.
We have added exterior urban elements that were not in the initial construction, as now the sidewalks in the areas of the modules.
The structure of the buildings has been improved so that the passage of time does not affect them as it has done so far. A clear example of this task was the installation of canopies (roofs of the corridors of the third floors of the large blocks) preventing moisture from entering the floors. This is one of the most visible, but it has not been the only one.
During the year 2017, the lighting of the floors was replaced to be led. In this way we are more energy efficient and the electric bill also notices it.
Last year we also entered the N-P-R-S-T-V modules. We change the bathrooms, the windows, paint and crystallize the floors. In L-M-X-Y and block H we paint and crystallize.
This year we have improved the internal indications of Vila with the updating of informative totems and vinilando the rooms.
In these we have also invested in furniture and improving the state of the toilets in Room C, adapting it for people with reduced mobility.
Pending tasks throughout this 2018
1st phase of sofas replacement
In chronological order, the first action arrives right now: on May we take up the task of replacing the sofas of Vila 1. In this first phase, on May 10th and 11th,we will change the sofas of buildings B and C.
Summer renovations
This summer (beginning July 1st) we complet the renovation work begun last summer. We will remodel the bathrooms and windows to the L-M-X-Y modules and we start with the big buildings, changing windows and bathrooms in H building.
This also means that these apartments will not be able to be occupied during summer.
2nd phase of replacing sofas
In September we always start with energy, this year, even more!
The second half of September we will change the sofas of the buildings A, E and F (so if you want to change the floor for the next course, keep in mind that in these buildings you will be releasing a sofa)
3rd phase of sofas replacement
Still waiting to confirm date, in December 2018 we will finish with this task of replacing sofas, changing those of blocks G, H and K.
At the moment these are the actions we have planned. However, as we have already told you at the beginning, this never stops! So in a few months, we will communicate new changes or reforms.
